The band will also pump out the greatest hits at tonight's show at Brixton…

Editors have revealed that they will be airing some new material at tonight's Radio X Winter Wonderland with Rocksmith.

The band are currently working on their fourth album, but singer Tom Smith has explained that they need a night out.

"It feels like the right time to put our heads up now for the Christmas bash and say 'hello' before we go off and make the record," Tom told Scout London. "It's going to be a party gig, so don't worry - as well as the new songs, we'll be playing our greatest hits too."

Last night (December 16), Tom tweeted what appears to be the setlist for the show:

Meanwhile, Smith also explained the reasons behind the departure of guitarist Chris Urbanowicz:

"On our last record he led the way on having no guitars. But I don't think his heart was really in the same place as where us three were really. It kind of fell apart this year. It's really sad but it does happen.

"It's been a long two years, especially this last year. But we're gonna come back fighting."
