Catfish And The Bottlemen

Van from Catfish and the Bottlemen has been telling Radio X that they are about to begin recording their début album.

The band's new single Kathleen is Jo Good's record of the week. Speaking on her show earlier Van admitted they are about to get stuck in to recording.

"We're just recording the last few demos for the album, we wrote a few tunes last minute and we're thinking a few of them might be able to make the album if we're lucky. So we're just demoing them," he explained.

Van admitted that they are going to begin recording the album in a week and a half.

"We're going to Lincolnshire I think, in this big church," he continued. "I don't know if I'm allowed to say who with because people are like 'oh, you've got to give people exclusives' but it's nobody you'll know anyway Jo, just some mad weirdo who does suitably weird stuff."

The band are on the road in May and Van has promised they "will hit towns we've not played before".
