Bloc Party Bassist Gordon Moaks Reveals He's Left The Band

The bassist took to Twitter to confirm the news.

Bloc Party bassist Gordon Moaks has left Bloc Party, it has emerged. Moaks broke the news on Twitter this afternoon (March 21st).

Moaks stated his reason for leaving the band was so that he could work on his new project Young Legionnaire.

Moaks is the second original member to leave the band, after drummer Matt Tong left in 2013.

Kele Okereke is currently touring his second solo record Trick and revealed the fifth Bloc Party record is in the "writing and recording phase."
