Drummer Ben Johnston told Radio X he wouldn't be taking his "eyes off the prize" this weekend.

Biffy Clyro are just part way through three consecutive nights of live performances this weekend, with their Leeds headline slot completed and a huge gig at Glasgow's Bellahouston Park and Reading still to go.

So, when Radio X asked drummer, Ben Johnston, if he'd be seeing any other bands ahead of their Leeds slot last night (26 August), we weren't too surprised by his response.

“It’s pretty much focusing on our gig, the drummer told Radio X. “It’s such a big deal to headline such an iconic festival.

“I think if I watched another show I’d be taking my eyes off the prize of what i’m here to do, which is just to play a bloody good show."

Referring to their huge trio of gigs, Johnston admitted it was "nerve-wracking," but well worth playing their new material and seeing the crowd's reaction.
“We’re not a bedroom band, so it’s nice to get music out and play it live," he said.
"We love getting new songs played and gauging the reaction, and it’s all been amazing so far".

The band aren't leaving it at that, though, returning to the stage a month later to continue their European tour dates in October.

The Wolves Of Winter outfit have also announced a UK arena tour for winter 2016, playing the likes of Glasgow's SSE Hydro and London's O2 across November and December.

On the news, the drummer said: “We’re playing everywhere and everywhere - so come and see us!”

If their arena shows look anywhere near as good as their first slot at Reading and Leeds Festival do below, then fans are certainly in for a treat.
