The European Festival Awards 2015 have awarded the Arctics two prizes and named Glastonbury as the Best Line-Up.

The awards ceremony takes part in Eurosonic Noorderslag, the new music conference and festival that takes place in the Netherlands each year. This year the Arctic Monkeys won big: claiming the prize for Best Headliner and Anthem of the Year for R U Mine.

The ceremony aims to reward the organisers and acts behind Europe's best festivals, with a range of categories covering everything from Best Newcomer to Health and Safety Innovation.

Melvin Benn from Festival Republic won the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Glastonbury won Best Line-Up after Arcade Fire, Metallica and Dolly Parton thrilled thousands of fans.

Sziget Festival in Hungary won Best Major Festival, Sea Dance Festival in Montenegro won Best Medium Festival and the brilliantly named I Love Techno seized the prize for Best Indoor Festival.

While picking up his prize, Melvin Benn told the audience to expect a new announcement about Reading and Leeds in the next few weeks.
