The Last Shadow Puppets Live 2016

…Well, not yet, anyway. He joined Miles Kane at Glastonbury this weekend and the pair reflected on the future of The Last Shadow Puppets and their own projects.

Speaking to Radio X’s Sunta Templeton, the duo appeared on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm on Saturday afternoon, bringing their epic, cinematic project to a climax. But the clock is ticking on the Shadow Puppets.

“The plan was to end it at the end of the summer, and I think we’ll stick to that,” Alex told us.

Miles added that a third album was written: “But we’ll park it, give it a minute. Have a break. Them, not us.

Asked whether there were any immediate plans for Arctic Monkeys to record, Turner replied:

“No, there aren’t really, Not yet. But there will be at some point.

“I mean, we’ll see with that. No rush.”

Meanwhile, it sounds like a new Miles Kane solo record is ready to go:

“There’s about 50 songs written, so I’ll pick the best 9 in November and release it on Christmas Day. Just in W H Smiths. Get it with John Bishop’s book!”

That’s your dad’s Christmas present sorted then.
