The Last Shadow Puppets 2016

Turner speaks about his friendship with his Last Shadow Puppets collaborator.

Alex Turner has credited Miles Kane for helping him open up to people.

The Last Shadow Puppets gave an interview with Rolling Stone, where he talked about everything from meeting David Bowie to that BRITs speech.

Recalling Arctic Monkeys' reaction to their huge success, Turner revealed the band had trouble letting people in.

"The Monkeys used to shut everybody out," said the Aviation singer. "Not just journalists, but everybody. And it's not the right way to be.

"Miles helped me open up."

The duo - who have just scored a UK No.1 with their long awaited follow-up album, Everything You've Come To Expect, are currently on the North American leg of their tour, playing Coachella Festival on Friday 15 April.
