Simon Raymonde of Bella Union to host X-Posure

Musician, producer and record label founder Simon Raymonde will be guest hosting X-Posure show for two weeks this month while Radio X's John Kennedy is away on his summer holiday.

Simon will be presenting the show Monday to Thursday 10pm-1am from Monday 11 August bringing listeners across the UK the best new music, sessions and interviews from some of the world's most exciting new bands and artists.

Simon is best-known as the bass guitarist and keyboard player with the British band Cocteau Twins from 1983 to 1997. He also contributed guitar, bass, piano and keyboards to the first two albums by This Mortal Coil, another 4AD project.

 Since 1997 Simon has run the Bella Union record label, which has released music by Fleet Foxes, I Break Horses Flaming Lips, Midlake, Lift to Experience, Beach House, Vetiver,  Explosions in the Sky, Cashier No 9, Xiu Xiu, Philip Selway and many more...

Raymonde has acted as producer and mixer on many records, including Clearlake's Cedars, James Yorkston's Moving Up Country, the first two albums by John Grant's first band The Czars, The Duke Spirit's first 2 albums and The Open's Silent Hours. He also mixed the Fionn Regan album The End of History, which was nominated for the 2007 Mercury Music Prize, and the debut album by Lift to Experience.
