"Nervous" Patti Smith Forgets Bob Dylan Lyrics At Nobel Prize Ceremony

Patti Smith forgot the lyrics during her performance of Bob Dylan's A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall at the Nobel Prize Ceremony this Saturday (10 December).

The Because The Night singer was mid-way through her performance of the track at the ceremony in Stockholm, Sweden when she lost her place due to nerves.

However, the Gloria singer soon recovered to deliver a moving tribute to Dylan, who was unable to attend the ceremony. 

Bob Dylan's-full acceptance speech for his Nobel Prize in Literature has also been published online.

The singer-songwriter wrote in his lengthy speech: "If someone had ever told me that I had the slightest chance of winning the Nobel Prize, I would have to think that I’d have about the same odds as standing on the moon."
