The National

The National have claimed that they wanted to play Glastonbury this year… but were turned down.

The Cincinnati band played Camden's Roundhouse last night (June 26).

Gigwise reports that guitarist Aaron Dessner dedicated the song England to "anyone heading to Glastonbury tomorrow".

Singer Matt Berninger told the audience: "We wanted to play but we were refused."
