The 50 Greatest Record Labels Of All Time
One of the oldest labels on our list, Parlophone was established in 1896 in Germany, but didn't really do much until A&R man George Martin signed The Beatles in 1962. Obviously, the 60s were a huge era for the label, but the 1980s and 90s saw a resurgence with Pet Shop Boys, Kylie Minogue and Coldplay all appearing on the imprint. It has also played host to Bat For Lashes, Babyshambles, Athlete, Blur, Goldfrapp, Supergrass, Mansun and many, many more.
