7. Apple Corps Vs Apple Inc
The Beatles set up their own label and music company in 1968. When Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak started Apple Computer in the mid 1970s, the notoriously litigious Beatles' lawyers noticed and filed a lawsuit. The action was settled, provided the computer company didn't dabble in the music business. This was all fine until iTunes and the iPod came along and the whole sorry business started up again. The row was sorted in 2007, which saw Apple Inc gain control of the name for an undisclosed sum and Jobs licensing the name back to the Fabs.
