The Stone Roses played the first of their huge stadium shows at Manchester's Etihad Stadium, and it looked incredible.

Ian Brown, Mani, John Squires and Reni took to the 60,000-capacity Man City ground, treating fans to a 20-song set, which they kicked off with I Wanna Be Adored and ended with I Am The Resurrection.

According to the Manchester Evening News' Sarah Walters, the band dedicated This Is The One to David Beckham himself:

The Manchester four-piece also treated fans to a performance of their comeback single, All For One, but didn't perform their seven-minute-long Beautiful Thing track - despite unveiling it last week.

However, the track was played into the stadium as the band exited the stage.

Ian Brown and co. will continue their string of gigs at the the Etihad on Friday 17 June, before playing two more nights this weekend.
