Mick Jagger & Ronnie Wood

The Rolling Stones have taken part in their first ever Twitter Q and A, answering questions on pre-gig nerves, alternative careers and Mick's bum.

The Rolling Stones have taken time out from their world tour to take part in a Twitter Q and A, with fans from across the world submitting questions for Mick, Ronnie Wood, Charlie Watts and Keith Richards.

One of the best questions for Mick came from @bluemelonika, who asked whether the lead singer got nervous before shows - even after 50 years of performing.

Mick answered: "I'm not really nervous. I get excited...and I get a bit over-enthusiastic sometimes! A bit too full of adrenalin, you have to watch out for that."

Keith was asked by @raidrsweetheart what he would tell a 20-year-old Keith, which prompted him to crack up. "I would have said get ready for a pretty fast ride," was his answer.

Charlie Watts got the funniest question of the whole session, when he was asked if he was sick of staring at Mick Jagger's behind.

"No," he answered. "One of the finest views in the country."

And @twogun69 had a great question for Ronnie Wood: how does he keep his hair looking good after two hours running around onstage?

"Somebody up there likes me," he joked. "My hair is the biggest gift that anyone could ever be born with."
