Queens of the Stone Age frontman Joshua Homme has been confirmed for this year's Meltdown.
He'll be playing a rare solo acoustic show at London's Royal Festival Hall on 16 June.
Meltdown has been running since 1993 and sees a different cultural figure each year curate a series of events at the South Bank Centre. This year's season is being curated by James Lavelle (U.N.K.L.E.).
James arranged and produced with Joshua on the title track of QOTSA's most recent album ...Like Clockwork, while Joshua previously collaborated with James on the second U.N.K.L.E. album, 2003's Never, Never, Land.
James Lavelle commented: "I'm thrilled to announce my long term friend and collaborator Joshua Homme who will be playing a one off acoustic gig that will round off what has been an incredible year for one of the world's greatest rock n roll stars. Expect something truly magical."
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (16 May). www.southbankcentre.co.uk
