The former Oasis man is rock royalty, which is why he keeps some pretty prestigious company. Take a look here...
They say never meet your hero, but the Mani and Noel bromance suggests otherwise. Mr Gallagher has always been pretty open about how, without The Stone Roses, there'd be no Oasis. In the pre-Oasis days of the late eighties, Noel first met Mani at the illegal Kitchen Parties in Hulme, Manchester. After sharing a certain kind of cigarette, Noel said he had faith in the Roses and himself. What a lovely story.
Roger Daltrey spends huge chunks of time putting the Teenage Cancer Trust gigs together, and Noel often works alongside him. This year The Cure, Suede and loads of overs took to the stage at the royal Albert Hall to help raise money for young people and, last year, Daltrey handed complete control over to Noel. Now, that's trust!
Noel and The Chemical Brothers first met at Glastonbury. They exchanged words (half of which none of them remember) and agreed to collaborate. When Noel eventually received some music from them, he thought Liam was playing some kind of joke on him. "It didn't seem to have any tune to it!" he said in an interview. After getting his head round it, however, Noel turned the demos into the classic tracks Setting Sun and Let Forever Be. They must of had some serious "chemistry"…sorry.
Noel is such a huge Beatles fan that, during the Oasis days, the songwriter hired Zac Starkey - Ringo Starr's son - to sit in on drums. Macca and Noel have worked together a lot over the years (like the Warchild album, pictured left) and Noel has never lost his respect for the living legend.
The nineties saw a rivalry between Blur & Oasis that has made musical history. Were you a Blur fan? Or an Oasis fan? You couldn't be both. But as the years have rolled by Albarn and Noel have buried the hatchet, both admitting the rivalry was more of a media frenzy than anything else. They made their union public by performing together at the Teenage Cancer Trust gig in 2013.
The Modfather and the Oasis man fostered an atmosphere of mutual respect for each other, prompting a lasting friendship and a couple of collaborations, including the song Echoes Of The Sun. Probably the best-dressed Bromance on our list today.
Liam Gallagher has often voiced his dislike for Coldplay and Chris Martin alike, but Noel has no problem with him. In fact, he often joins Martin on stage to perform Yellow, and likewise Chris joins Noel for Live Forever.
Noel and Johnny Marr have known each other for years and, over that time, a firm friendship has grown. So much so that Noel performed on stage with Marr at his Brixton Academy show recently. Plus, Marr features on Gallagher's second album, playing guitar on The Ballad Of Mighty I.
Russell Brand and Noel Gallagher sparked a friendship a few years ago, where Noel became a regular guest on Brand's radio show. The pair got back together last year to do a special, one-off radio show for Radio X. The Radio X office was pretty nervous but, unbelievably, there was no swearing. Thank GOD!
Yes. We know. They hate each other. But who really knows what goes on behind closed doors? They've been through a lot together and, you know what they say, blood's thicker than water.
