Noel Gallagher's told Radio X he's almost ready to start recording his second solo album - and will spend most of 2014 doing so.
"I've written a few good ones lately, actually," he told Radio X's Gordon Smart.
"I reckon I've already finished my demos - I'm just waiting now for availabilities of my band and producers to go and do it all.
"I'll probably start next year now I reckon, no point in ruining the rest of the football season."
Speaking on Gordon's last ever Smart On Sunday - he's leaving us to return to his homeland and run the Scottish Sun - Noel confirmed we can expect a new record out end of next year or early 2015.
He also reckons he's written some of his greatest material - but is taking that with a pinch of salt.
"I always say that," Noel explained.
"I finish it and I play it and I think 'that's good, in fact it might be the nest song I've ever written.' Until I hear Rock 'n' Rpll Star on the radio and go, 'yeah it's not that good'."
Noel helped Gordon present his final hour of Smart on Sunday - sharing a lot of tales of good times the pair have had (some at Gordon's expense).
