The Maccabees are going to help celebrate the first 20 year's of Edinburgh's Hogmanay.

They'll headline The Waverley Stage at the annual New Year's Eve celebration in the Scottish capital.

Reverend and the Makers and Scottish newcomers The OK Social Club are also on the bill for the massive street party - which sees up to 80,000 people take to Edinburgh's streets.

The Maccabees recently confessed to Radio X that - despite only having released Mercury Prize nominated Given to the Wild this year - they're not planning on slowing down or taking any time off.

"We're touring right up until the end of the year and then we're just gonna write another record. We've got a studio in London," the band told us. "We're gonna try and calm things down touring wise and we're gonna try and get a record done by the end of next year."
