Kaiser Chiefs Announced As Foo Fighters' Support Act For Sunderland Stadium Show

18 February 2015, 10:23

The northern chaps will join Dave & Co at their huge show later this year.

Kaiser Chiefs have been confirmed as the support act for Foo Fighters' stadium show in Sunderland in May. Teenage Fanclub will support the band at their Manchester show.

Kaiser Chiefs have been supporting Foo Fighters around South America and South Africa.

Foo Fighters will play Sunderland Stadium Of Light on Monday 25 May and Manchester's Emirates Old Trafford on Wednesday 27 May 2015. They'll then perform two nights at London's Wembley Stadium on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 June, with special guests Iggy Pop and Royal Blood. Royal Blood will also be the main support at the BT Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Tuesday 23 June.

Tickets are on sale now.

Dave Grohl told Radio X that he's a fan of Brighton duo Royal Blood: "We were listening to them last night," he told Radio X's Danielle Perry. "It's kind of a new obsession."

"I got online the other night and watched footage of them live at Glastonbury - they’re awesome.

"Nowadays you see a band with a guitar, and you're like 'That’s not plugged in'.

"But then you see them and you're like, wow that’s plugged in and its rad – they’re a good band."
