Daft Punk Biography

Daft Punk

When the single Get Lucky was leaked in 2013, Daft Punk mania took the world by storm once again.

Despite composing the soundtrack to the remake of the Disney movie Tron towards the end of the noughties, it had felt like a long few years since the electronic duo released their last “proper” work Human After All in 2005.

But when the Parisian duo of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo returned with the album Random Access Memories they were impossible to avoid.

Over a career spanning three decades, Daft Punk have been behind some of the most iconic dance records of all time. With tracks like Da Funk, Round The World, Harder Better Faster Stronger and One More Time, the pair earned their reputation as one of the most celebrated EDM live acts in history.

As popular today as they were in the nineties, Daft Punk stand firmly on one of electronic music’s highest pedestals. And wearing robot masks, too.
