Arctic Monkeys 2013

Arctic Monkeys are celebrating US chart success this week… with AM making No 6 in the Billboard Top 200.

Their fifth album sees them return to America's Top 10 for the first time since Favourite Worst Nightmare debuted at No 7 in 2007.

Music Week reports that AM sold 42,000 copies in the US last week, while the record is on course to have another week in the No 1 spot in the UK.

The single Do I Wanna Know has also been doing well in America, making the alternative airplay chart - only their second release to do so after I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor.

You can hear Alex Turner and Matt Helders take Radio X's John Kennedy through AM track by track right here.
